Overview

Inspectors check for conformance with building codes.The Community Development Department is responsible for the review and inspection of all building projects in the community.  Whether it’s a new home, home improvement project, new commercial building or renovations to an industrial complex, the Community Development Department will review the plans, inspect the project and ultimately give the final approval for occupancy.  Inspectors check for compliance with all required building, health and safety codes.  This ensures that the work performed is done in a safe and appropriate manner.
