Planning and Zoning Overview

The Community Development Department acts as principal staff to the Plan Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals. These are volunteer policy recommending bodies. They review various requests for land use and development and make recommendations directly to the Village Board. Department staff work with homeowners, developers and local businesses to guide them through the application and hearing processes.
