Walking Inspections Program
Each May, the Community Development Department staff
operate the Walking Inspections Program. This program
requires the Code Enforcement Officers to inspect every house,
on every street, randomly selected throughout the
community. Code Enforcement Officers will be checking
for compliance with the Village’s property maintenance
codes. The goal of this program is to enhance the
appearance of the community and gain compliance with Village
Codes.
If you live on any of the streets randomly selected, you will receive a letter
regarding the program and when the Code Enforcement Officers
will be in your neighborhood. The Code Enforcement
Officers will work with homeowners who may need more time to
complete repairs. If more time is needed, contact the
Code Enforcement Officer in your area.
A clean, well-kept community increases property values and
enhances civic pride. Your cooperation in the success of
this program is greatly appreciated. If you have any
questions or comments on this program, please feel free to
contact the Community Development Department at (630)
736-3843.
