They are available to host senior safety seminars, home safety inspections, and many other customer services designed to keep the Village and our residents and businesses safe. CPR and First Aid Classes

The Streamwood Fire Department offers a variety of CPR and First Aid classes. The Department has classes designed for professionals as well as homeowners and businesses. Please note all classes are held at Fire Station #1 (1204 S Park). For the current CPR and First Aid Class Schedule, click here.

  • CPR for Healthcare Providers is a class designed for professionals who require certification. Residents and non-residents may take these classes. Click here for more information.
  • Heart Saver CPR, AED and First Aid programs can be designed for police officers, scout leaders, businesses and anyone desiring certification. Classes are scheduled periodically. Please call the Fire Department at (630) 736-3650 for more information or to schedule a class.

Education in Our Schools

The Department educates over 3,500 students in the community on fire safety annually. Fire personnel go into the classrooms and encourage students to be safe. They discuss the importance of a fire escape plan in the home, how to report a fire and how to keep safe in the event of a fire.

Streamwood Cares

Streamwood Cares is a community outreach program designed to ensure the well-being of those with special needs. It ensures timely communication to seniors, homebound or disabled people, those with specialized medical equipment, suffering from short-term memory illnesses and others. It is gives peace of mind to designated caregivers that individuals are being automatically checked on by phone, and will notify caregivers if those in need cannot be reached or indicate they need help.
