Press Release

April 18, 2007

Deputy Chief Gremo
Streamwood Police Department

Investigation of School Bus Accident

On Wednesday April 18, 2007 at approximately 8:23 a.m. the Streamwood Police and Fire Departments were dispatched to Lacy Avenue just east of Nippert Drive in reference to a Laidlaw school bus accident. On arrival, officers discovered that a school bus was traveling east bound on Lacy Avenue and left the roadway striking a utility poll.  No injuries were sustained by any of the three children, ages 6-11, the driver James Sullivan, Bartlett, or the nurse, Marion Miller, Batavia, who were passengers on the bus.  All were transported to St. Alexius Medical Center and released.  Power was out for approximately two hours due to damage, but has been restored to all residences and businesses.
