Police issue Residential Burglary Warning
Several residents in the Oak Knoll
Subdivision near the Streamwood Oaks Golf Course have reported
that an unknown person broke into their home by entering
through an unlocked door or window. Some residents have also
reported that the offender forced open a locked door to gain
entry. These burglaries began on November 7, 2007 and usually
take place between the hours of 1:00am and 4:00am. Once inside
the home, the intruder removes miscellaneous electronic
equipment and leaves without making contact with the resident.
The Streamwood Police are requesting that
residents take extra precautions to insure all exterior doors
and windows are locked before going to bed. We also ask that
you report any suspicious persons or activity to the police
department by dialing 911.
