Records
The Streamwood Police Department Records Division is open
24 hours a day and is responsible for maintaining, processing,
and storing police records.
Among the many job responsibilities, residents can request
copies of police reports, vacation watches, parking permits,
as well as contest local citations. To obtain a copy of
a report, a freedom of information form must be filled out
with a small fee being applied. (You can print a copy of
this form from our Forms
and Applications page in the Reference Desk section of our
website.) Residents leaving their homes unattended for a
lengthy period of time can request an officer check on the
house while they are gone free of charge. Due to the
restriction of no parking on village streets between the hours
of 1:00 am and 5:00 pm, residents can purchase overnight
parking permits for guests that are staying for the evening
and prevent the vehicle from being citied.
