Snow Removal Policy

Parking is prohibited on any Village street after a snowfall of two inches.

Primary streets are plowed first, followed by secondary streets.  Please note that cul-de-sacs are plowed last.  Village snowplows are prohibited from plowing driveways or towing private vehicles.

Shovel the end of your driveway last (after the last pass of the snow plow).  Please do not shovel snow into the street after the street has been plowed.  This is prohibited by Village ordinance and creates serious safety problems.

Please note that the Village is not responsible for snow removal on Schaumburg Road, Bartlett Road, Irving Park Road, Lake Street or Route 59.  These roads are the responsibility of either the Cook County Highway Department or Illinois Department of Transportation.

If you have any complaints or your mailbox or parkway are damaged during snow removal, please contact Public Works at (630) 736-3850.
