Water
The Public Works Department is responsible for the water
quality of the drinking water in the Village. The
Department also maintains the water storage tanks and
distribution system. The primary source of drinking
water is Lake Michigan. The Village is member of the
Northwest Suburban Municipal Joint Action Water Agency.
Each year, the Village publishes a Consumer Confidence Report
that explains in greater detail the water supplied to our
residents.
If you see a quantity of water coming out of the ground, it
may be a broken water main. Please report broken water
mains by calling the Public Works Department during normal
business hours, or the Police Department at (630) 736-3700, on
nights or weekends. Leaking fire hydrants should also be
reported.
For more information, please call (630) 736-3850.
