The Village of Streamwood elects its officials in independent, at-large elections.  Therefore, no primaries are held for Village offices.  The Village holds consolidated elections in April of odd numbered years.  Primaries and general elections, for national or state offices, are held separately.


The next scheduled election will be the Illinois 2022 Gubernatorial Primary Election on Tuesday, June 28, 2022. Polls open at 6:00 am and close at 7:00 pm. On Election Day, you MUST vote at your home precinct location. Watch your mail for a new Voter Registration Card from Cook County.

Village residents can register to vote online at the Cook County Clerk's office here. To register, residents must be 18 years or older, a United States citizen, and have lived in their precinct for at least 30 days. 

Remember if you have moved or changed your name, you must re-register to be eligible to vote.

Early Voting

The Streamwood Community Development Garage (351 E Irving Park Road) is an early voting site.  The hours and dates are stipulated by the Cook County Clerk. 

Early Voting for the 2022 Primary Election will be held at in the garage behind Streamwood Village Hall, Monday, June 13 through Monday, June 27. All eligible suburban Cook County voters are welcome.

Hours for early voting are:

Monday, June 13 - Saturday, June 18:  9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Sunday, June 19:  10:00 am - 4:00 pm
Monday, June 20 - Saturday, June 25:  9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Sunday, June 26:  10:00 am - 4:00 pm
Monday, June 27:  9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Voter registration will be available during Early Voting.  If you wish to register, or change your information, you must bring two pieces of identification - one with your current Cook County address.

Primary Election Day is Tuesday, June 28 from 6 am to 7 pm.  If you choose to vote on Election Day, you must visit your local polling place to cast your vote.  Please visit the Cook County Clerk website at to verify your registration, and to check for your local polling place.
