On Friday, May 15, from 5 a.m.-noon, our police officers will be stationed at the Dunkin' store (656 Sutton Rd.) to collect donations for the 23rd Annual Cop On a Rooftop event. The money benefits Special Olympics Illinois and will support athletes with intellectual disabilities in our community. Officers will sell mugs, shirts, hats, pins, and Harley Davidson raffle tickets, offering patrons a free doughnut coupon upon donation during the event. Guests who donate at least $10 will receive a travel mug, while supplies last, and a coupon for a free medium hot or iced coffee. Online donations can also be made through the Cop On A Rooftop website, allowing supporters to participate from anywhere.
