We Want to Hear from You!

The State of Illinois passed legislation legalizing the private consumption and possession of cannabis for Illinois residents over 21 years of age.   Starting January 1, 2020, individuals over the age of 21 years may possess up to 30 grams of marijuana, cannabis products and accessories, and certain oils for private consumption.

The Village has to make a decision on whether to allow adult-use cannabis business establishments.  The Village may prohibit these businesses from locating in town (although we may not prohibit medical dispensaries), or the Village may allow cannabis businesses.
The Village will be holding public hearings on this issue in the near future.  We will post online the days and times of any such hearings.  But, we’d appreciate hearing from you.

Should the Village allow the sale of cannabis in the community?

If you would like us to notify you of any public hearings we hold, please provide your email address:
